The development of a convenience crown system

Description of a collaborative effort between supplier and customer to develop a convenience crown system-that is, a combination of metal crown and bottle top design which permits removal of the crown by hand or with an opener. Major objectives accomplished were: reliable sealing performance, ease of removal, elimination of added cost, absence of major bottling line and equipment changes.
